| WHAT IS BLUE MAN GROUP? Blue Man Group is a creative organization dedicated to creating exciting and innovative work in a wide variety of media. Blue Man Group is best known for their wildly popular theatrical shows and concerts which combine music, comedy and multimedia theatrics to produce a totally unique form of entertainment. The blissful party atmosphere created at their live events has become the trademark of a Blue Man Group experience. Currently, their live stage shows can be seen in New York, Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Berlin, Oberhausen, and Orlando. The Orlando production is in the Universal Orlando® Resort. 一九八七年三個「想做點不一樣表演」的好朋友麥特高德曼Matt Goldman、菲爾史坦頓Phil Stanton與克里斯溫克Chris Wink，拿了頭罩把臉套住，設法讓自己看起來既禿頭又沒耳朵，然後把自己的臉 和手塗上厚厚的藍漆，做為了他們的註冊商標。再背起用PVC材質自製的水管當作打擊樂器，就這樣，在紐約東區街頭表演了起來，還管自己叫「藍人樂團」Blue Man Group。
他們的表演橫跨默劇與雜耍極具實驗性，模糊了音樂、劇場與特效的界線。國外稱他們為Experimental Musical Theatre Troupe 而不稱他們為合唱團，是因為三人都未開口唱歌，並且是以肢體表演為主，表演時的音樂及演唱另有專屬團體與歌者負責。他們的音樂結合電子搖滾與嘻哈曲風，運用各種不同的物品如水管、鋼琴的琴弦作為打擊樂的材料，演奏出一般想像不到的音效。
他們在紐約New Tork、波士頓Boston、芝加哥Chicago、拉斯維加斯Las Vegas、佛羅里達州 奧蘭多Orlando、德國-柏林Berlin、德國-奧伯豪森Oberhausen、日本-東京Tokyo、德國-斯圖佳特Stuttgart這九個城市，各有一家 「藍人劇院」，當年的三位元老，如今早已退下舞台，升格為製作人。

| 2005年加拿大多倫多成立反 Blue Man Group的組織，原因是因為他們不遵守當地表演藝術組織公會規定，非法僱用非公會的工作人員，詳細資訊可以在網站上看見，不過最新消息只到2005年11月，不確定現在是否還存在? "In Canada, Equity represents live-performance in all of the theatre, music, opera and dance disciplines and the performers in the production fall squarely into Equity’s jurisdiction." 網站上這段話，顯示加拿大表演藝術工作者是受到保障及重視的....不曉得什麼時候，台灣的劇場工作人員才能得到同等對待的重視?? |
